Starter Sets
These products are retired, and are no longer available.The Empire Builder starter set was introduced as an intermediate level starter system. The set included a DB150 Command Station/Booster, DT100 throttle, a Mobile Decoder, and a LT1 LocoNet Tester. The Empire Builder was also available in a Simplex Radio Equipped set. Produced from 1998-2000
Empire Builder II was the second generation of the Empire Builder starter set. It contained a DB150 Command Station/Booster and LT1 Tester. It featured the new DT300 throttle and contained a UP3 universal panel. The set included a premium decoder in N, HO, or G scales. The Empire Builder II was also available in a Simplex Radio Equipped version. Retired in 2005

The Empire Builder II Radio Equipped starter set was introduced as an intermediate level starter system. The set included a DB150 Command Station/Booster, DT300R throttle, a Mobile Decoder, UR91 Radio Receiver and a LT1 LocoNet Tester. The set also included a premium decoder in N, HO, or G scales. The Genesis starter set was introduced as a basic entry level system. The set included a DB150 Command Station/Booster, UT2 Utility throttle, a Mobile Decoder, and a LT1 LocoNet Tester. Retired in 2000
Genesis II was the second generation of the Genesis starter set. In addition to the DB150 Command Station/Booster, UT2 Utility Throttle, and LT1, the set also included a UP3 Universal Panel. The set also included a premium decoder in N, HO, or G scales. Retired in 2002
The Super Chief starter set contained a DCS100 command station, a DT400 throttle, a UP5 Universal Panel, and a LT1 LocoNet tester. In addition the Super Chief starter set was available as a Radio Equipped Set. Retired in 2009
The Super Chief 8 Amp starter set contained a DCS200 command station, a DT400 throttle, a UP5 Universal Panel, and a LT1 LocoNet tester. In addition the Super Chief 8 Amp starter set was available as a Radio Equipped Set. The photo is of a 5 amp Super Chief. The 5 amp set contains a DCS100 as shown. The 8 amp set contains a DCS200 command station which is similar in appearance to the DCS100. Retired in 2009
