Description
The Western Depot was founded in 1977 by Bob McBratney, who started out assembling Williams passenger car kits and selling them from his garage. By 1991, The Western Depot had become large enough to need its own space and Bob built a commercial retail building in order to house it. In April 1997, The Western Depot's website was born and the amount of business we do online has grown ever since. ...Now, The Western Depot ships worldwide and has customers anywhere from New Zealand, to Tokyo, to right down the street. The Western Depot is a family business with three generations of the McBratney family serving train hobbyists the world over.
