Hobbies & Models has an illustrious history.
It began in 1910 as Lion Chater Cycles and only had a small section of the South African store which sold model trains. The store was then handed down to the owner’s son and in the mid 1940s changed its name to Hobbies and Models and it quickly became renowned for its selection of model trains and train sets.
The store passed hands once more and then eventually, in 1988 ended up with us. It’s now a family run business with a mission to provide quality products and services at competitive prices.
