Digitrax Warranty (Updated September 24, 2007):
Digitrax gives a one year warranty against manufacturing defects
on all Digitrax products. These units are not user serviceable. If a defect
occurs, return the unit directly to Digitrax for service with proof of purchase
date. We will repair or replace warranty units at our discretion
at no charge to you for one year from purchase date. This warranty
specifically excludes damage due to customer abuse, such as failure to properly protect
against input over current with a fuse or circuit breaker, applying
excessive input voltage, failure to
properly protect against over current by properly isolating the
locomotive motor from the frame when installing mobile decoders.
Please do not open the Command Station/Boosters (except for making
voltage adjustments or changing batteries per the manuals). Please do not remove the shrink-wrap protective sleeves from
Digitrax decoders. None
of the units have user serviceable parts, and opening them will
void ALL warranty protection.
Digitrax carefully tests our mobile decoders to be sure that
you receive reliable products. We recommend that you not cut any wires or install
any mobile decoder in your locomotive until you are sure it has passed the Decoder Test
Procedure detailed in the Decoder Manual.
Limitation of Warranty (The Legalese)
All warranties on Digitrax products are limited to repair or
replacement of Digitrax products at the sole discretion of Digitrax.
In the event that Digitrax products are not installed or used
in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, any and
all warranties either expressed or implied are void. Except to
the extent expressly stated, there are no warranties, express
or implied, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability
or fitness for a particular purpose.
Digitrax, Inc. reserves the right to make changes in designs
and specifications and/or to make additions or improvements in
its products without imposing any obligation to upgrade or modify
any units previously manufactured and sold.
Non-Warranty Repairs
For items that are no longer covered under warranty, whenever
possible we will make repairs to units at fair and reasonable
rates. In the case that a non-warranty unit cannot be repaired,
it will be returned to you at no charge. Note: As of 11/28/2005 DT100 series, DT200 and BT2 throttles are no longer repairable due to unavailability of repair parts.
