Make your locos look more realistic with the Digitrax function system!

When you install a Digitrax decoder, the lights that came with your loco will operate more realistically.
With DCC you automatically get constant brightness lights on your locos.
With DCC you can turn the loco’s lights on and off from your throttle.
With Digitrax decoders your headlamp and rear lamp will automatically reverse when you change loco direction.
No extra lighting board to install, it’s on the decoder board!
Use incandescent lamps or LEDs. No expensive multiple filament bulbs needed.
All Digitrax mobile decoders have multiple function outputs for controlling headlamps, rear lamps and other lights and functions on the loco.
Functions can be set up to remain active during operation on non-DCC layouts.

There are five types of function outputs available on Digitrax Decoders: Standard, Standard*, Configurable Strobe, FX & FX³

Digitrax Offers 5 Types of Function Outputs To Make Your Locos More Realistic Than Ever!

Function Type		Description
Standard	S	Turn functions on and off. Head lights and tail lights are automatically reversing unless you make them independent.
Standard*	*	Turn functions on and off.
Configurable Strobe	CS	Turn functions on and off. Head lights and tail lights are automatically reversing unless you make them independent. Set up functions as single or double pulse strobes to simulate different lighting effects in the locomotive. The CS option is available in decoders where there were not enough resources to allow for full FX functions.
Digitrax Real FX	FX	Turn functions on and off. Head lights and tail lights are automatically reversing unless you make them independent. Use up to 4 FX generators for creating prototypical lighting effects like Mars lights, ditch lights, Gyra lights, rotating beacon, single & double pulse strobe lights and random flicker. These effects can be customized for maximum realism using FX qualifiers. FX decoders do not offer qualifiers for function leads used as standard on/off leads.
Digitrax Real FX³	FX³	Turn functions on and off. Head lights and tail lights are automatically reversing unless you make them independent. All function outputs have FX generators for prototypical lighting effects and have qualifiers for FX effects and qualifiers for standard on/off functions. All Digitrax Series 3 decoders have FX³ type functions. FX³decoders offer full function remapping so you can choose which function (F0-F12) controls each function lead. FX³decoders offer master light switch capability. FX³ decoders offer qualifiers for FX function operation qualified by one of the following: the loco's direction of travel, whether F0 is on or off, loco direction and F0, or whether the loco is moving or not. These qualifiers are also available on function outputs that are used as standard on/off functions.
